Trailer bearing lubrication can be one of the most over looked maintenance items on the road. Along with bearing adjustment, proper lubrication is essential to the proper function and reliability of your trailer axle. Bearings should be lubricated every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. It's even more important on boat trailers because of the extreme environment. At Rucker Trailer Works we charge $75.00 per axle including the seals and a safety check on items like brakes, lights and suspension. Don't end up stranded in the middle of nowhere or let a blown bearing ruin a perfect weekend.

We use only the best lubricants on the market as listed below.

Trailer Bearing Grease. Amsoil, Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease, Extreme Pressure, NLGI #2 (GLC)

Boat Trailer Grease. Amsoil, Synthetic Water Resistant Lithium Complex Grease (GWR)Multi-Purpose NLGI #2 GC-LB Extreme Pressure Fortified. Superior lubrication and protection in automotive and industrial applications with extensive exposure to water.

Moving the Shop

We're moving the shop. As of May 1st we will be at the new location of 224 S. MacDonald Mesa AZ 85210. The new shop is only a couple blocks away from 504 S. Lebaron. No changes will be made to rates, just a better location and facility to do trailer repair.

A tilt flatbed turned into a landscape dump truck. Built with 2" square tube .120 wall and 12ga sheet metal. Had to reinforce lift, reroute fuel filler line, install custom hitch, paint and some wiring.

Boat Trailer

Customer had some real rust problems and the only solution was to either get a new trailer or built one to match so the parts that were salvageable could be transfer to new frame. After some research it seemed replacing the frame and transferring parts was the best solution.

Started another trailer, this one is a customer ordered. We're trying to build a base model that will be around $2000 dollars but still be much better then your average utility trailer. This one here is a 5 x 10 with a 3500lbs axle and all the usual RTW advancements.

Started a new trailer this week. 6.5 x 10, 5200lbs axle with brakes, 2 ft sides out of 12ga sheet metal, 4ft ramp with expanded metal, all sealed wiring and lights, 2" coupler and 12x2 douglas fir floor. Jet Ski Bunk Work

We repair bunk brackets and can also re carpet wood or start over fresh with new wood and carpet. This trailer below bunk brackets collapsed due to the weight of the jet ski's. Fabricated some new brackets out of 3/8 plate and it was like new again.

Annual boat service ranging from $80 an axle for grease axles and $100 for oil bath axles. That includes checking each bearing individually, changing inner seals, replacing brake fluid, testing hydraulic brake lines, checking brake system, disc or drum, specializing in UFP disc brake systems, checking lights, tires, suspension and overall safety of the boat trailer.
